This is a little game we call 'Flick It'. Great fun and adaptable to any location.
We put a piece of sturdy cardboard over the top of a glass, place different objects on top and try to flick the cardboard straight out so the object falls into the glass. It's actually based on the law of motion so you can feel a little educational with your kids while playing.
On the first few tries, I was a little skeptical that it would work but if you hit the cardboard fast and steady, it works every time.
We upped the stakes with each round starting with a single coin and ending with a whole container of toothpicks. I was not looking forward to that mess but I had nothing to fear.
