There are tons of cute cards for Mother's Day, but there is another option to show your love.

Say it with flowers.

Here is a fun and quick Mother's Day craft that every Daddy can help his kids with.

All you need is

  • colorful paper
  • a green straw
  • sticky tape
  • glue
  • a brass fastener
  • a small photo of your kid

tulip materials

Cut out the bloom and two petals of the tulip from a paper in the color of your kids' choice. If you're not that creative, use our free template to get the perfect lovely tulip. Then cut out the leaves as well.

Glue a cute photograph of your child to the bloom.

Then push the brass fastener through the two petals and the bloom. I recommend making the holes first to avoid destroying the flower.

tulip pin

Fold over the brass fastener to make the petals moveable.

This is what the flower should look like from the back.

Add the leaves to the green straw with sticky tape at slightly different hights.

tulip leaves

Pin the moveable part of the straw to the bloom.

tulip stem

This is it! Have your kids pick out a bunch of real tulips at the flower shop or in the garden. Place your special tulip among them. The straw makes sure that the water doesn't destroy the paper parts of the tulip.
