Snowflakes paper craft for kids

The long winter evenings are chilly and dark. There is no better way to spend them than crafting with your children.

Here is an easy craft you can do with your kids to decorate your windows in the frosty season. All you need are either squares or circles of white sheets of paper. Fold them three times as shown on the picture below. Then let your imagination run wild to create all sorts of snowflakes.

I just drew a sketch on them to show the basic principle – the outside folds need to stay complete.

I hatched the parts that I cut away but there is literally no end to the forms you can create. The only important thing to keep in mind is that you don’t cut away too much from the long side of the triangle or the “piece of pizza”, otherwise the snowflake would fall apart. Your kids can also try it out for themselves without sketching the snowflake first.
