Everyone knows breakfast is the most important meal of the day. And since February is the month of hearts and giving more love, you and your kids can make morning extra special with strawberry hearts on your pancakes!

Start out with a simple pancake recipe. This one is easy to follow for your younger kitchen assistants.

Ingredients:

  • eggs
  • cup milk
  • tablespoons butter
  • teaspoon baking powder
  • cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions:

  • Melt the butter and add the eggs and milk.
  • Mix well. We use the blender because it's really easy for kids to pour into the pan later on.
  • Add baking powder, flour and salt. Mix well.

  • Pour into pan. Flip when you start to see bubbles.

  • And then these hearts are so easy to make.  Just cut the tops out and slice sideways.

Have your kids assemble the pancake heart creation! You can use yogurt and jam as toppings to keep it fresh and healthy.
